How many letters fit on an Ingoa board?

Large 9cm lettering fits up to 7 letters, like AROHA, ALOFA or WHĀNAU. Small 6cm lettering fits up to 10 letters, which suits longer family names. The preview counts as you type, so you'll know straight away whether your word fits.

Can I use te reo Māori, Samoan or Tongan words?

Yes. Words in te reo Māori, Samoan, Tongan and other Pacific languages are welcome. Boards we've made include AIGA, FAMILI, ALOFA, AROHA and OFA ATU.

Is the preview exactly what I'll get?

The preview is a guide. Your final lettering is hand-finished by the artist, so it will have the character of a handmade piece.

Do I still need to message you on Instagram?

No. Your word, lettering size and style are saved with your order, so there's no back-and-forth in the DMs.

How do pre-orders work?

Pre-order pieces are made for you after you order. Allow roughly 6 weeks from ordering to being ready. You pay at checkout, and we'll be in touch when your piece is ready to send or collect.

Who makes Hori.Inc pieces?

Hori.Inc is a Māori and Pasifika design studio based in Penrith, Western Sydney and Point Cook, West Melbourne. The artist, Jason, was born and raised in Māngere, South Auckland, is of Waikato descent, and holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts from MIT in Auckland. Every piece is designed and finished by hand by Māori and Pasifika makers, so no two are exactly the same. Brushstrokes, engraving and pattern placement vary from piece to piece, and that's what makes yours one of a kind.

How does delivery and pick-up work?

We offer standard tracked shipping across Australia: AUD $25 for orders under $250, or $42 for orders of $250 and over. Sending a piece to New Zealand? Get in touch and we'll arrange a delivery quote for you. All prices are in Australian dollars. You can also pick up by arrangement from Penrith NSW or Point Cook VIC.

Can I pay with Afterpay?

Yes. Afterpay is available at checkout, so you can split the price into four interest-free payments.
